We are getting very close to the holidays and I am still making new designs!  Today I have been focusing mostly on some cool candy cane designs and have been trying to do things with the computer... (I found some cool new toys within photoshop).

I despise politics

Politics really gets me upset.  I NEVER tell people my political views as I have found that some people take certain political issues so seriously that it can effect their views of someone regardless of how serious the particular issue is.  I will not tell you which party I lean closest toward...

I (like millions of other Americans) have become increasingly infuriated with our leaders in general- most of them- not just one in particular.  Their inability to perform their job functions, dishonesty, blame, and general incompetence are just too frustrating.

My son learned many important life skills in Kindergarten.  These are all skills that our leaders seem to lack.  While I am not literally suggesting that groups of children run the country, I do think that perhaps our leaders could learn a lot if they spent some time in a Kindergarten classroom.

Roses

My son was in a school play and afterward, we gave him a rose.  For the past few days I have been taking  tons of pictures of the rose and applying the photos to all kinds of cool things!

Trying to make stuff for Guys too!

So I really am trying to expand a bit and design a few things for guys too... problem is, I'm not so good at it!  I have never been a "girly girl"- very much a tom-boy.  When I first started designing stuff on Zazzle though I did spend months and months filling my eyes and head with pretty girly things with many hours of window shopping and browsing.  Once I got some of the girly stuff in my head I just could not get it out!


Now I really am trying to get the hang of things that guys like... please be nice- I'm still learning!

Here is a skateboard with an image of a brick wall and graffiti in the background.  You can customize the text to display your name or a slogan you like in a font that also looks like graffiti! I am not entirely sure if this is a guy design because I like it!

This damask could be masculine on a number of different products- I chose to show the button because it did not have the additional embellishments that the other products displaying this design have... although the embellishments can ALL be removed from the others when you customize!

OK, I do know more women who like wine, but traditionally, wine makers and barkeepers are male.  Besides, wine is yummy.  This design has a background listing different varieties of wine with an image of a bottle of red wine and two glasses.

What could be griller than the classic combination of black, white and pink? This design features a modern twist on some simple, classic design elements by combining larger polka dots with skinny stripes as well as a large "button" type of text background centered on the black band which separates the two designs all with a bight, modern shade of pink!  This can be customized to display any name!

Hi, I am Sidther, I decided that it was time to start a new blog to feature some designs on Zazzle.  I will be including my own designs and the work of other Zazzle designers.  The first few posts will be relatively short as I set up the blog itself.  I hope that you enjoy this blog!

The gears binder is a collage of photos of gears from a broken clock arranged with a matching stripe, customizable text area and black background.  This was was super fun to make as I got to take apart a clock! The metallic look (printed- not really metallic) is one of my favorite features.

The Gears case was fun to make.  I knew what I wanted and found an old clock that did not work anymore and took it apart to get a picture of the gears inside.  I decided to start trying to make some cool things like this after my husband pointed out that most of my designs were pretty girly!

The circuit board iPad case was a similar situation.  Hubby wanted much cooler designs than my usual pink patterns so I took apart a computer!  Soon I will be getting a new camera that zooms better so I should have an even cooler variation of this type of design in the coming months!

This military life binder is something I have been doing for years- I keep a scrapbook of every base we live on with photos of events, invitations, awards, special coins, friends' contact info and just about everything we do at each base so that someday when we are retired we can have lots of fun remembering the days when we were younger!

Here is a special holiday card I have created!  My favorite part is that I was able to use one of my son's baby pictures as the image placeholder!  Isn't he adorable?  He is very much older now, but he is still super cute.  Oh, the design, I also made it so that the snowflakes would gently cover the top of the image that you decide to use!  Those snowflakes are also hand drawn as I am now getting SO very much better at using my drawing pad thing a  ma jig for the computer!
